  • Greg King, author of The Ghost Forest — Racists, Radicals, and Real Estate in the California Redwoods

  • Craig Tucker, Brook Thompson, and Charlie Schneider with personal takes on connections, perspectives and pathways.

Here is a recording of Greg King’s presentation to the Commonwealth Club on June 14, 2023.

The intro and outro music for this show is the Iron Gate Dam Song by Petey Brucker, which he performs with the Arcata Interfaith Gospel Choir in the soundtrack of this video.

Richard adds: Petey was recently honored with the EPIC Sempervirons Lifetime Achievement recognition. Incredible outpouring, including but not limited to, Karuk tribal luminaries Leaf Hillman, Ron Reid, then being accepted into the Karuk Tribe for a lifetime of dedication, presented with pieces of the Copco dam by Craig Tucker, capped by his immediate and extended families’ rousing “Take Down the Irongate Dam” song.
